I'm trying to determine approximate year and model for this Spyderco/Santa Fe Stoneworks knife. It reads "SPYDERCO BIN-1 STAINLESS" on side one and "SEKI-CITY JAPAN" on side two . Knife measures 6.5 inches extended with 3 inch serrated blade. Any insight is appreciated.

Believe that is actually "Gin-1" a stainless steel used by Spyderco at that time.

Yes, Gin-1 is probably what the blade steel is. Never heard of Bin-1.

It's hard to tell what model the knife is without seeing the entire thing, but possibly a Worker? Google "Spyderco Worker" and see if it looks right.

I have two Gin-1 Spyderco's. I bought them both new. I think it was mid 90s sometime (maybe 95?).

If you want help IDing the knife, you should probably post pictures that show the whole thing.
