End of road for K11 / K12 / K13 ... kitchen knives?
I’ve used my Cooks knife virtually daily for the last 2 years, and have found it to be a brilliantly versatile kitchen cutter. *
IIRC this was intended as part of an upmarket range of knives. Now both the Cook’s and Chefs knives are disco’d, is that range now as complete as it will ever be?
* Don’t kid yourself about folders in the kitchen. Get these while you still can. You’ll probably still be using them for years or even decades.

I've heard rumor they'll be doing kitchen knives in look. Maybe this was a "making room" sort of affair.

I ordered a K11P yesterday even though we already have two K04S, a K04P, & a K05P. We didn't need another kitchen knife but I figured it was too good of a deal to pass up.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I think it means they had a typo. :)500Nitro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:50 pmWhat does 'doing kitchen knives in look' mean ?knivesandbooks wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:34 pmI've heard rumor they'll be doing kitchen knives in look. Maybe this was a "making room" sort of affair.

Hopefully will have a K11P on the way from Knifecenter soon. A little surprised they're disco'd already but I guess it makes sense if there are plans to offer a new line in LC200N.

Seems as if this is the case. I too was excited to see where this series was going. The K11P sees a ton of time out in the kitchen, guessing the K11S and K12P will serve us equally as well until the LC200N starts showing up.

Well, I'm gobsmacked.
The K11P arrived today. I knew I'd like it, but the wife was the real test... I was nervous about a lecture about buying another knife. :o
Lo and behold she pulled it out to prep some veggies this evening and upon using it immediately mentioned she'd like more than one and are there any other sizes.
So just like that we've now got a K12P inbound from BladeHQ as well!!!
Our other kitchen knives are from Windmühlenmesser (Robert Herder,) Kanetsugu, and Tojiro, so it isn't like she didn't already have any good, thin, sharp knives. All the more impressed by how quickly she took to her new Spyderco(s). :spyder: :D

My K12P arrived today after a long journey from Seki City via Golden & Fredericksburg to East Sussex. By the look and feel of it, it won’t ever be travelling any further i.e. leaving our kitchen.
It is beautifully made and very nice indeed in hand. I can’t wait to get using it.
