Places I've lived for a decent period of time:
Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC.

Places I've visited for a decent period of time:
New York, New Jersey, Maine, Tennessee, West Virginia, more Texas.

Places I've visited for enough time to see the area and talk to the people and get a feel but not enough to say I really know the area:
Kentucky, Pennsylvania, more Texas, Colorado, more California, more Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Greece, Italy, Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain. I'm sure there's more that i can't think of off the top of my head.

Currently in San Diego but that's subject to change at any time. My last 12 years have all been along the southern US border and Washington DC except a 1.5 year repeat of southeast Virginia when i tried something new. Didn't like it, went back to the desert. Most of the last 12 years has been split between south Texas, south Arizona, and south California. All are shitholes, but whatever. It's where I've been. Looking forward to going back to Oklahoma and its lakes and rivers and trees and grass and tornadoes and good cost of living and decent people.

I'm a San Francisco native and have lived here all my life (probably older than most here). I didn't get into knives until 2012, when I got a few Kershaws. Then in 2013 I bought my first Spyderco, a Persistence. That was the gateway drug. Then I went upscale with Dragonflies, Delicas, Stretch, Sage, Natives, and Caly Jr.

I think my info has always been in my profile but I'm in Northern Kentucky, originally from Brown Co. Ohio.

I believe I've always had my location in my profile as well.

For the sake of the thread though I'm in the Boston, Massachusetts area; just south of the city.

I also noticed today that user locations don't show on mobile browsers in the same way they do on the desktop browsers. Which could be one reason why many users have not taken the time to update their profiles; some might just be unaware of the feature. Just a thought.

rklee, welcome to the fourm! Your journey to Spyderco is similar to mine. Not so sure you're older than me but we both call SF home and it doesn't get any better than that. Shoot me a PM if you ever want to talk knives. :)
