Used Military questions

I know someone on the forum can help me with a question or two about my new (to me) purchase. Just bought a Military second hand from New Graham knives. To my surprise and delight it came in a box. The knife is a Titanium Millie with S30V blade. I don’t see a steel lockface insert on the RIL. The box appears to be the one the knife came in new. It looks like my other Spydie boxes. The tray part that slides out is marked on the bottom. The box is marked C36TIP in the upper left corner of the tray and TiMil on the upper right corner. Below is an LI date code. I believe that means a 9/2013 manufacturing date? This knife has a partial black back spacer and the stand offs and lanyard hole are smaller than my Ti Fluted Military. There are a couple of scuffs on the handle but the knife looks great. Does the back spacer and small lanyard hole match with the manufacture date?

Here’s a pic of the two knives showing the difference in lanyard holes and standoff’s. Is the plain knife typical of earlier titanium Millies?

Here’s a pic of the back spacer. How long were Military’s made with these? Also is LI for the date September of 2012? Someone please answer. I’m super curious!

LI would mean it was made (or at least packaged) in December of 2009. So, it's an early ti Military without the lockbar insert. Small lanyard hole is also consistent with that.

The backspacer was only recently taken out, 2016 IIRC.

Thanks to both of you. I can see Spyderco CQI at work having an early and recent model of the same knife. It’s very cool to me that someone saved the box and I wound up with the right one. I save all my knife boxes. Don’t really know why.

The really old G10 Militarys only had one liner. They were very light.

For a knife that's never had a version 2, it's sure gone through a lot of revisions.

No kidding. I really kinda see the new version as at least a 1.5 version.

The single liner carbon fiber one is a featherweight :D
