One can wish right? Who else would love to see something like this for the 10th birthday of the PM2?

That anniversary is still far off though.
To me it's a user knife that doesn't need to made pretty with Damascus. I'd rather make it a more extreme user with REX 121, Vanax or some other cool premium steel and some Micarta scales. And CQI it with a wire clip.

2020 isn’t too far off. Plenty of time to start throwing out ideas.

While I agree with you that the PM2 is a user, a workhorse, the most popular EDC and everything else.... I feel like the 10th Anniversary needs to be a Jewel, something beautiful to display...a statement of 10 years at #1 etched right into the blade for the world to see. I think your micarta and super steel suggestion is a great idea for another sprint run though.

Damascus? I'm thinking Ti. Slimmer than standard like the Delica and Endura. No scales. Exposed comp lock?

Yes on Damasteel

Yes on Ti scales or marbled CF

No on integral Ti comp lock, better to have the steel/steel interface with liners.

Where do I sign up? :D

I'd also love it with fluted carbon fiber though (its so hard to pick between hypothetical handle scale materials!)

I would definitely be in on a damasteel/damascus PM2 - do marbled CF or Ti and you can take my money!

For a 10th anniversary pm2 I'd love to see sculpted marbled carbon fiber (not done on a pm2 yet) or stonewashed titanium with a unique damasteel or rex 121 or 15V or S125V making its debut. For the love of God, put a palladium bug in the handle. For a knife like that $300 or even $350 isn't out of the question. I'd hope that on the blade there would be nothing but the normal makers' marks plus 10 on one side of the blade and the steel type and Golden, Colorado, Earth like normal on the tang of the other side. All other information etched inside the scales. Wire clip. It'd be a truly memorable knife from spyderco.

For knife and steel AFIs by knife and steel AFIs. Subject to preorder with deposit only. ****, I'd even preorder if the price was $400 for that knife.

IMO the pm2 is one of the finest knives spyderco has produced and the fact that both Sal and Eric developed it 10 years prior to this release makes it something special.

Good point about marks on the blade. I'd actually prefer no additions, just the usual.

Wire clip is a great ideal that will never happen. Maybe on the FRN PM2, if we're lucky.
