Rubicon 2, bearings?

#1

Post by BravoTango »

Guys I need a quick and dirty answer here, I haven't looked at the Rubicon 2 but was offered one in a trade today. The question: are there Rubicon 2s out there without CQI (bronze phosphor cage) bearings? I own a domino and while it's great now, I dont want to own another knife with the 1st gen bearings. Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong but I think they're all gen 1.
I think the Sliverax was the first model with gen 2.
I think the only existing model they updated was the Advocate.

I still own the original Rubicon along with the Nirvana and the first southard.
And i can not say anything bad about them they flip great and i never had any problems so maybe those bearings arent so bad as people fear?
