I ordered in the first minute and just got my shipping notice, seems like they didn't oversell, just bumped some orders to the back of the line for shipping. No big deal.

They have rectified the situation and I got my confirmation! They have been very helpful through their customer service, as well as on their Instagram page. 10/10 would buy again ;)

I agree that the Delica is a good knife for the price, but It’s interesting to see a knife around the same price, made by the same manufacturer be built with greater standards. That said I know they’ve had the Delica out for a very long time, and it sells well to this day. It’s hard to argue when you look at numbers.

Appreciate the heads up on this steelcity! I had to have been one of the first, as my order was placed 3 minutes after it dropped. So no shipping notification makes sense now. Thankfully I have many other knives to keep me occupied until it arrives!
15 :bug-red 's in 10 different steels
1 - Bradford Guardian 3 / Vanadis 4E Wharnie
1 - Monterey Bay Knives Slayback Flipper / ZDP 189
1 - CRK Small Sebenza 31/Macassar Ebony Inlays
1 - CRK Large Inkosi Insingo/ Black Micarta Inlays
1 - CRK Small Sebenza 31 Insingo/Magnacut

Same here! Ky is pretty close to Alabama so I'll be staking out the mail box soon.

I don't see this huge Delica following that you speak of. I'm pretty active in this forum as well as a few others and I don't see the Delica getting nearly as much love as the Para 3.
Maybe you haven't been around long enough to notice but the Delica does in fact have a huge following. The Delica has been around for years and it's become a classic. It's one of the most popular EDC knives ever. Don't believe it? Search Youtube for "Spyderco Delica" and see how many videos come up.

The Para 3 does seem like it's more popular at the moment. IMO that's because it's a fairly new model and it's getting a lot of attention due to sprint runs and exclusives.
I didn't mean to kick off a debate. I believe you. While I've never owned one, the Delica was the first Spyderco knife I knew by name because it got mentioned in firearm and EDC forums that I used to frequent. It's very possible that the Para 3 people are just more vocal and you're right about the newness contributing to its popularity. Either way, Spyderco makes great knives! :)

I bought mine at 7:03 (3 minutes in) and still haven’t gotten my notification of shipment. I’m all for weekends, but this time I hope some people are working the weekend shift
My receipt was marked 17:02:54 and yes St. Nick's was working this weekend! Got my shipping confirmation at 5:09 EST today.

We're good BR! Sorry if my reply made me sound like a raging Delica fan. I do like the model but I also like all these other models just as much. They're all good IMO.

They definitely seem to have handled this drop well. USPS says it will arrive tomorrow! Super excited. Been waiting for the right steel and color to try the Para 3. Thought that would be maxamet but I just couldn't pass up this color and the steel sounds like it will be right up my alley too.
Current collection: ZDP-189 Delica 4, S110V PM2, St. Nick's 4v Para 3, H1 sheepsfoot Manbug, Kapara, VG-10 Dragonfly, ATS-55 Serrated Delica, ZDP-189 MT04 (not broken yet) + Other non spydercos.

And she is here. Def a good looking knife. Gonna need to use it for it to grow on me tho. And the stiffest para series I’ve had to date

That is :(. Sometimes the USPS has issues with updates so it could very possibly be on its way. I've had that happen before. I'll start getting upset that it hasn't even left and then it'll show up. I hope that's the case of yours.

Mine is right there with you. They’ve printed the label in their shop/warehouse, but have not taken it to USPS just yet. Most places have USPS pick up from them. I used to work in order fulfillment and we would have a UPS truck at our dock every day at 4:00 PM on the dot. I’m just hoping their shipments go out earlier in the day :P

Chances are they will have an expected delivery day for us by the end of the day :)

That's my thinking as well. It could be in the mail box now but I'm not going to run across town to see.

....or am I :D
