I have them all and they are all great knives. Imo the 2 just stands out, though the 1 is very nice if you are on a budget. Really can't go wrong with any of these. Whatever you choose, you'll be getting a great edc knife.

I have the 2, 3 and 4. I prefer the 3.

I have the 2, 3, and 5. The action on the 5 has never been great for my specific example, but still a great knife. The 3 is a little wider in the pocket, but the action is absolutely incredible. The 2 is my favorite. Mine’s perfect in every way, and I love the simplicity of it.

No wrong answer. I like the 3 and 5 for their locks, I like the 2 for the titanium.

5 is great with compression lock, my favorite.

3 is my favorite for the bolt lock - only Spyderco to have it. But as mentioned it is tallest due to the design of all the Sages so bot as great for EDC carry.

3. The bolt lock is massively underrated. If you like a CBBL or BBL, the bolt lock is like those..but better.

This is exactly why I'm getting the 5!

Haha I love these which one should I buy threads! Everyone says something different because they're all good.

I have the 1, 2, 3, & 5 and like 'em all but the 2 is probably my favorite. I think the S1 looks the nicest, S3 is the smoothest (cool lock too), and the 5 is great too once you dial in the action.

I love the simplicity and the looks of no.1 and the classy feel of no.2.

I like how it fills your hand more though. It's a trade off.

I like the 2 because it is thin and it has a wonderful simplicity to it.

Sure, the 3 is a smidge taller but unless I am holding them side by side it is hard for me to tell. The lock and action are amazing! Probably the smoothest knife I own.

The 4 is a bit thicker than the rest. Like the 3 it will fill the hand just a little better but the differences are small in my opinion.

Never got the 1 and the 5 is still on my wish list. :)

I would probably just decide which lock you prefer and get that one. That is sort of the point of the whole series.

Looks and super solid feeling-wise, the 4
Action is a tie between 3 and 5 possibly (judging by my own, the 3 edges out the 5)

The 1 got me hook on spyderco. It’s a great knife for the money. I also have a 2 and it’s much nicer in my opinion. The price follows too though.

Absolutely the 3! The bolt lock is my favorite Spyderco lock. Wish they would use it more. :spyder:
