Well, the Para 3 buggered up my plans.

I was keeping a spreadsheet of all the Spyderco knives I want to buy, and it was pretty varied (kind of a one-of-each list). Since getting my BBS M390 Para 3 yesterday, now I'm only wanting to buy more Para 3s in other configs. I'll still buy a Delica and a black Pacific Salt SE, but I'm suddenly much less interested in many of the others. I really didn't expect to like the Para 3 as much as my PM2, but dang it if I don't like it more.

Many thanks to Sal and Eric for this design!

It took awhile to grow on me, since I was carrying PM2's mainly. But I like it alot, and CA <3" it gets alot of pocket time. Another release in Cruwear, or Vanax steel would be nice.

^^ As far as I know, the state of CA does not have restrictions on pocket/folding knives. I know there is some confusing language in the code, and ultimately any action taken depends on the specifics of the incident. But in general, there are no restrictions, other than switchblades and assisted knives.

Wait until you really start using that M390 steel, you'll love the knife even more!

BBS M390 Para 3 is my fav... it's finally been kicked out of my pocket this week since my Rex45 Para 3 showed up, but I doubt it will be out permanently.

Oh and I should add that I have 7 Para 3's now so I understand your new-found love for the platform!

I know the feeling. Over the past few years a ton of Spydercos have caught my eye, but I have to ask myself..."What would this knife do better for me than my EDC, a Pacific Salt?" The answer isn't very fun. I'm putting more into savings than I have in a while.

Are there any soon-to-be-released Para 3 models with DLC finished blades?

Careful, or the forum will take away your Enabler badge for setting a bad example for the rest of us!
