I was particularly interested in this one:
After hearing all the love for Super Blue, and having missed out on the original run, I was really anxious to give it a try. This knife is sort of a palliative for me until the Calypso Jr sprint drops.
What little I have seen of the steel impresses me. It seems to want
to be sharp. Made a few swipes on the brown rods at 40°, touched it on a 50,000 grit diamond paste strop, and it was so sharp it couldn't even whittle free hanging hairs anymore - as soon as the blade touched the hair it popped in half.
Edit to add:
I forgot to mention that this SB Manbug unfortunately came with a considerable bit of vertical blade play. Not enough to keep me from using it, but I'm going to be thinking about it every time I use the knife (until I get used to it). It's a minor irritation but I can't help but wonder if a beefier pivot system might alleviate this problem.
