Kudos to Spyderco. I have over 1,000 knives and yes, I am now a Spyderco Ho. I expect this modest thread to be challenged, good! I will return with facts of steel.

Long Live Spyderco

Ha ha, you may be right. Too much rum say I. It's more like ~600. Here's a picture of a good portion but lack any of the smaller fixed blades, duplicates, < $20 or any Spydercos. It's sad that you make fun of my addiction, not the rum of course, but knives. You can take a LOT more shots at the rum so why not go for the low hanging fruit. Or something like that. None of these are dime store if you notice. :)

These Ninja cats (that messed up the blade placement) do not agree. They scare me.

Wow! Makes me feel like a total piker with only 300 or so... (not counting sharp things used for woodworking, like plane irons, chisels, and gouges...)

I have too many and often think that I could pare it down to maybe 10. It’s a really slippery slope, though.

I no longer feel like an extravagant spendthrift after seeing all of that ! I am not sure anyone else has a new view, but I feel much better.

I need to show that picture to my wife so she will not feel like there is something wrong with me. :D

That's ONLY if you can convince her there is nothing wrong with ME. My excuse to my wife is that I will only buy Para 3s (and secretly a few other Spydies) and will sell the others (in an estate sale).

I should have warned you not to go that route. I hope you didn't use my name.

Hey BLOKE my good Brother? How many of those Rip-Mart discount, dime store hardware creations have any decent blade steel in them  >> Because that looks like the massive selection of blades we have at one of our local thrift stores we I live :D . Most of them look like they are made with what I like to affectionately call "Chewing Gum Stainless" :o

I got that term from an old machinist I used to work with and he came up with that term because he said anytime we tried to work with steel like they make those cheap knives with is like working with used chewing gum

However one day I did find one great Wustof and two really nice J.A. Henckel ( both German made) blades in their barrel of cheap knives and they only charged me 87 cents each for them  I've actually amassed a really nice selection of culinary knives from those thrift stores who unfortunately for them they don't even know a good knife when they get their hands on one.

I'll tell you though it's horrible knives like those in the picture that really make you appreciate a really decent Spyderco blade ;) .
