Yes. There a really extensive thread on it on this forum. I'm just updating it here as it's about to drop and I really want one. I'm a Para 3 ho.

At dealers many of the past releases show “out of stock” What I don’t understand is if there will be more releases or was that it and it’s secondary market only now? For instance the carbon fiber S90V is there possibility of it being back in stock? I am not a have to have it now guy, I can wait for more releases and avoid the scalpers. I also have the maxamet on the hit list too.

Welcome to the forum!

In my experience, some retailers don't necessarily use "discontinued", when a knife is out of production. "Out of stock" might be all you ever see.

Damm, was afraid of that. Gonna have to get serious on my searching if I really want some of these.

Dealers can re-order an exclusive as often as they want. Sprint runs from Spyderco are a one time event. The Para 3 CF S90V was a sprint run from Spyderco and won't return.

Is the blade a different finish to the standard PM2 finish? I just picked up one as a gift for a mate. In transit across the pond....

I don't have one in PM2 but I believe they are from the catalog photos.

A great year it has been yes. It's hard to get into the PM2 collecting (high prices), but the Para 3 was a great model to start collecting this year.

Perhaps there will be other surprise Para3 exclusives before the year is out.

This is now "PARA THREE WAR" between Spyderco and me. I've been trying to bankrupt them by buying all the Para 3s I can. They in turn continue to try to bankrupt me by selling them to me. This indeed is an epic battle that I refuse to surrender. Spyderco, you are running out of steels and scales. I will win or I will get divorced, live in public housing and then probably get stabbed by one of my own knives.

I will not be deterred. Unless of course, my wife hears of this. :eek:

I’m having a similar problem. It’s best not to add up to total cost of all the new knives.

well, that is a lot variety, I did not know so many steels where released in this model!

I stopped buying almost every other knife I would normally buy (really hard) and decided to focus on one knife (mostly). I have managed to collect each of the 22 different Para 3s but not without a lot of help from my friends here. Thanks!
