Use this flowchart to determine if the LW Para 3 is right for you.

I can't argue with that flow chart ;) Just pre-ordered a LW Para 3. It's like the perfect hybrid combo of a Delica, Manix 2 LW, and Para 3.

2nd that! Told myself I didn't need it yesterday when it was revealed. About 12 hours later, there it sits in my pre order cart haha. Really is hard to pass up for under $100!

I wonder with the standard Delica now costing $78, if it will be seeing a major loss in sales?? The Chaparral LW had to put a dent in the Delica sales last year, now this!

I'm not sure why folks will keep buying the Delica with this PM3 LW now available.
Because without using the finger choil on the Para 3, you can't get a full 4 finger grip on the regular handle. Lots of people don't like that a choil is mandatory to achieve a full grip and prefer the choil to only be an option. But you can get a full 4 finger grip on the Delica's handle. So the Delica still fills a niche for those people.

I am glad you mentioned this because one of the questions I had about these two, and which, infact,I started a thread about, is that very issue: Will the PM3 Lightweight replace the Delica?

Yep! Just got mine today too. Great looking knife! I REALLY like the Brown G10 and it looks great with the DLC. This may be some of the last S35VN we see from Spyderco. Seems like they are done with it for the most part and sticking to S30V.

After reviewing the P3LWs I do really like them. They don't seem to have the same action, no biggie, but the FRN handle are actually quite nice. I still prefer the liners and G-10, of course, but this is a fine addition to the Para 3 family.

I got mine.
Great knife. Scales feels a bit different as from my Dfly.
Flicks great, centered. Closing needs much wrist but this will change within the next week.

Overall again a great job from Spyderco.

Updated Para 3s. The 4 knives at the bottom are just friends.
