Any guesses or leads on what the Sage 6 lock will be?

...and *when*?

I still like my Sage 3 the best of the bunch (missed the 4 though, so my sampling isn't complete), but will be interested to see what Sal has in store for us with the next installment in the Sage saga.

I Think it would be cool to see an axis lock now that the patent has expired
Any other thoughts?

Stop lock? Power lock? Ball bearing lock?

And you are correct, the Sage 3 is awesome and the BAL is massively underrated.

Do the Sage models only use locks that appear across the Spyderco lineup, or are they looking to pay homage to locks in general? G & G Hawk have some cool stuff.

I hope it's a CBBL.

I expect some will strongly disagree, but there are too few CBBL platforms currently, and I don't see anything on the horizon.

+1 for the cbbl.

But I would also like to see a phantom lock sage. But have it be just a bolster to lock/unlock instead of the whole scale like the meerkat.

Sal said no to an axis lock out of respect for Benchmade. I'm hoping for a slip joint, personally.

Top lock, powerlock would be interesting options.
But I could see a button-actuated compression lock since that's somewhat associated with a specific knife maker (Smock) and one with which they've collaborated recently.

Do you mean a friction folder with a hole to lock it open with a stick?

Another vote for CBBL.
Button/Compression Lock would be awesome.

Plunge lock would be pretty sweet, with a single nested liner on the locking side and linerless G10 on the show side.
