Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 suddenly very hard to open

I was Opening my knife today and it suddenly the little ball thing of the lock started making it really hard to open... Any ideas?

The Para Military 2 features a compression lock. It sounds like you are describing a ball bearing lock problem. Do you maybe have a Ganzo Paramilitary 2 knock off knife? It looks like a Para Military 2 but has a ball bearing lock.

How old is it? Some detent balls begin to wear and cause excess friction with the blade (an impressive amount of friction actually). Try lube. If that doesn't work, I'd polish the detent ball and where it makes contact with the base of the blade with a leather strop (going as fine as possible, like 0.5-0.1 micron). But that's just me.

Put a small dab of grease on the detent ball
