Zip tie on natives

#1

Post by redhawk44357 »

Hi all, I have two natives that don't see pocket time because they are hard for me to open with just my thumbs. Authur-itis you know. Can someone tell me where the thread is for adding zip ties to the holes? Pics would be great.

The way I do them is so they stick out on the side I use my thumb to open the knife, so that it gives me extra traction. I did this jumbo zip tie one day just being funny but it may actually help quite a bit if smaller ones don't give you enough leverage. The issue is that they get in the way when making deep slices but they definitely make opening much easier.

Basically feed the zip tie in from the back side of the blade so the box end is positioned on top of the spine. Then it'll also stick out to the side for your thumb to push on.
