Does anyone know if the price will drop for the techno being that it is discontinued now ??

Since the Techno and the Techno 2 are the same price it doesn't make sense to me that retailers wouldn't lower the price on the first version. Once the Techno 2 is released it seems that most people want the latest and the greatest, leaving merchants with a lot of dead stock holding on to the original version of the Techno too long.

With the Domino and Dice at first the prices went down about 15% less than what they had been selling for...
once the stock was gone and they becames less available the prices went up about 15% more than the original selling prices...
so its about timing.
And personally I don't think the release of the Techno2 will have any effect on the value of the original Techno...
the original is unique and much different than the Techno2 time will tell which becomes the more in demand model.
I have a Techno love it...the Techno2 looks similiar but different enough that I want both.

The Bowie didn’t when it was discontinued.
More recently, the tatonka didn’t seem to go down either.

So is everyone saying jus pick one up and don’t worry-about the price ? Lol

The price isn't going to drop at dealers.

I honestly have disagreed with you before on these assessments and you have proven to be uncannily accurate again and again. This time I will go buy one.

The only models that seem to go down in price are the ones that don't sell very well. Like the Myrtle. The Techno does sell well so I'll bet they sell out before the go down. Luckily, the techno did sell well and was around for quute awhile so the availability on the used market should be high. Just get a used one before prices get stupid like they did with the bowie.

It’s worth having at the MAP, in any case.

Exactly. I have this discussion with fellow workers all the time, especially those who can't get off their backside to earn an extra $ in half a day to pay for it.

And to the OP, will you still buy one if the price doesn't drop ?

Just Purchased one should be here Monday

I wouldn't anticipate anyone dropping the price unless they have huge stocks of them, which seems unlikely to me.
