Bow River isn’t even out yet, we all assume it will be good but too soon to know for sure. But I kind of agree, he really needs two knives. And there aren’t a lot of good, cheap fixed blades out there outside the Spyderco brand.
Yes!
Honestly the byrd line is worth looking at, good point. Spyderco's 8cr13mov is some of the best in the business. The rescue 2 is a real working man's knife. And at $22 you could get a fine PE blade with the remainder.ThePeacent wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 9:24 amI am with those who sat get 2 (or 3!) knives for that price![]()
the possibility of loss, theft, breakage, misuse or destruction of the knife in 10 years is really high, having a backup or alternative would be ideal![]()
I personally would get a Byrd Meadowlark in SE ($20), a Tenacious PE ($45) and a Bow River ($35) and for 100 dollars you've covered three sizes, blade styles, edge types, lock systems, carry systems, and have backups and complementary knives for very different tasks![]()
all with Spyderco quality and style![]()
Yep. Absolutely. The build quality is superior to the delica and many lw models.5pins wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 5:01 pmYou can get a PM2 on ebay right now for $109.18 with the 20% discount. That's only 3 cents a day over a 10 year period. For me it would a no-brainier.

Thanks for reminding me. I keep meaning to get one of those.
Definitely.
