Now I'm interested if any of you will actually use this knife so we can get some reviews on how that coating holds up.

I’ve cut quite a bit of stuff, including cardboard. So far, so good.

Been out of state for the last ten days and got back today and was greeted with a box from Rivers Edege. Wow, it's a very cool Para3! Scales and blade coating are a match made in heaven. Glad I didn't pass on this one. :)

I've been cutting up foam mats for my kids' cosplay costumes (for Comic Con) with my new M4 and REC Para 3's. Both are more than a match for the foam so far. :D

It always said August. The first batch in July was earlier than they said, so I don't know if that is an actual indication of the next batch.

Really looking forward to you giving this one a beat down... I'm curious if this coating will hold up as well as black DLC.

I got a chance to stop by the store well traveling home from a wedding last weekend. Super awesome people in there. One of the guys showed me his personal para 3 as they were for sure sold out by the time I stopped in. Really nice little piece. I had a really great experience at the River's Edge.

Hardware swap between s90v and 204p. I like the looks of the REC much better with silver hardware. Same for the s90v.

For those who've used theirs, does the PVD coating exhibit extra friction when passing through thicker material like DLC does?

During something as simple as cutting through an apple, I noticed the DLC coating of my Manix resisting my slicing efforts significantly.

Thanks.
