Delica WC HAP40

#1

Post by Termite Toothpick »

Well, this Wharncliffe Delica in HAP40 checks so many boxes for me. I am extremely happy and excited as I just got it in and I am very impressed.

This is my first Wharncliffe blade,
first HAP40 steel,
first Delica,
first Sprint,
first Orange handled knife...

I have been following this from the start with Jazz and the push for this style in the Delica. I never did like the Delica blade for some reason (it's my problem I assure you). I got my wife one and I liked the size and handle but just not the blade. This blade shape is awesome. I really look forward to getting to use it. I am kind of sad I didn't get one before now, but on the other hand am happy I waited for the HAP40...The lam lines are cool and now I have another/new steel to check out. I wonder how long it will take me to remember that the blade is not wet and I don't need to try to wipe it off.

Thanks Jazz for the idea and tenacity and thanks Sal for the great knife and for listening to your customers!

Just wanted to share...
I have been using the sandwashed Lynch clip on this one for a week now and of course love the deep carry on the Delica. But I just had to check out the Bronze Anodized clip as well. I think it goes very well with the burnt orange of the HAP40 line.
This is going on tonight.

You probably already know this but in case you don't the short clip is too short to reach the flat part of the scale which will tear up your pocket, some people might prefer that bc it will be extra secure holding on to your pocket

Yeah, thanks. I did notice but don’t mind the way it is. Plus I feel it’s a small price to pay for a deeper carry, and you’re right it hold on a little better. I also have one of the long Lynch clips but I think it looks too long and odd on this size. It’s on my PM2 and I’m on the fence even with that bigger knife.
