It was a dog day...

Happy Father's Day!

My daughter and her dog were both waiting on me to get up today. Apparently, their idea of celebrating father's day, was to attack me at 4 in the morning.

I open my bedroom door and BAM, I'm on the ground. Several seconds later, following a barrage of licks, kisses, hugs, scratches and crotch shots... I'm back on my feet staggering, towards the kitchen.

I get there to find a bowl of Sugar Smacks, the paper, what I can only guess was supposed to be coffee and a mess... She wished me a happy father's day and headed back to bed.
In this whole ordeal, I have learned two things.

A 50lb 8 year old and a 62lb dog make for a surprisingly effective coffee substitute.

And

I'm the luckiest dad alive!
