Another Urban Coyote. :p

Funny, but I wasn't sold on the color until this pic was posted. Since, I can't wait. :D

Yes, please. That is my preferred shape for this knife.

I guess that's a good question. What is the preference of blade shape?

I think the drop point is better. Sexier lines and the upward curved tip is pointy enough while being better for skinning etc.

Has there ever been a drop point urban?

I've had both the drop and leaf blades in the UKPK, generally prefer the leaf aesthetics, gifted away all my drop points. There doesn't seem to be much difference to me in terms of edc use.

Could someone who prefers the drop point profile talk about what they like over the leaf shape?

Leaf and drop for UKPK, but if it’s the Urban, leaf please. I hope it’s the Urban though, if only one model.
- best wishes, Jazz.

The drop point gets my vote Sal. Quite frankly a drop point Urban in coyote/dark earth would be a dream come true for me. The drop point is my favourite slipit shape: great belly, slimmer profile when folded, really non threatening shape but still keeping a useful (and imho, essential) point for poking holes in things (like zipping open baguettes). The perfect edc to pop in the watch pocket of my jeans (and that of a few friends of mine who aren't as taken with sharp, pointy things as I am).

You did such a great job on the UKPK drop point with its balance of belly and point; surely it's time his little brother followed suit.
I think this innovation alone will generate sales to those that gave the leaf a pass (or already have one); and bring in sales to non knife folks that may think the leaf is just a little too purposefully point oriented in an increasingly uptight climate.

In conclusion, the drop point Urban is the kind of great design and knife evolution that Spyderco is renowned for; the perfect shape to meet the broadest range of needs in a tried and tested package.

Pitch over (phew.. and breath)..

I say make both. Probably more people like the leaf, so make more of those.

I RIT Dyed my Grey UKPK and it came out burnt orange. Made me think it would be awesome if we got a Rex 45 sprint too!
