Those are Terotuf scales made by Fireside ( https://firesideco.com/) They are kind of similar to the feel of micarta. Check out the website, their very nice to have to switch up the norm!
Thank you! I watched. Pretty interesting.
I use translator most of the time.

There was a link to the old Spyderco catalogs.

Nice work! What part of the world do you live in with such chubby browns and rainbows found running together? Reminds me of fishing the Deschutes River in Oregon.

Nice fish!

I used the Waterway to cut up some chunks of mackerel, hoping to catch some early season schoolies!

In Pennsylvania. They're far from wild. They were stocked from a hatchery about 2 weeks ago.

I've never fished saltwater. What is a schoolie? My best guess is a striped bass?

Yep, just a common name for undersized stripers. Too small to keep but they're still fun to catch. The smaller Stripers (schoolies) tend to make their way north before the big trophy fish.

I'm slightly ashamed to say I used the spine of my Caribbean to wedge a pan out of the hot well at work... But I redeemed myself by opening a package with it when I got home.

If you're gonna pry with a knife, that's the way to do it. I've opened paint cans with my folders the same way.

It isn't just chip bags I cut the top off of, or Peanut butter jars I cut the seal out of, lol...

I will say, that for the bit of nay-say-ing I read and saw about HAP40, I have been Really Impressed With It, in this knife.

as to the insta... I have my expensive beans, grinder, and french press(s) & pour overs - but - sometimes a quick hot cuppa of some dark roast insta works just fine :)

HAP40 is the most exotic steel I own. It's good stuff, but I generally prefer SE now, so my HAP40 Endura doesn't get much use anymore. And nothing wrong with instant coffee! It's not the best, but it works and is convenient. :)

I cut the seals on a new bottle of melatonin this morning. This stuff is a must for a night-shifter!

Cutting the diaper collection bag while reloading the diaper genie with my Endura has become very frequent.

It is a thick & dense paper tube which is used as spool core for the polyester veil with is wound on top of it.
I just need a narrow piece of veil from time to time, so I cut up the scrap tube core because it is very long and uncomfortable to handle and store.
