What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I used my Shaman Z-Wear to cut up some thin cardboard boxes and plastic clamshell packaging. I've been using the Bradley Folder 2 for slicing apples, onions, and tomatoes lately. I find the hollow grind on the blade won't allow the dense fruits and vegetables to stick to it like a FFG blade.

Worked fine to cut open a pack of Ramen noodles.
Edited to add: Also cutting the top off a gallon water jug.

Connor, If you’re only going to cut trivial stuff with your knife, best leave it in your sock drawer. The Meat man wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 7:48 pmWorked fine to cut open a pack of Ramen noodles.

Didn't get pics because we were in a bad situation, I used my M390 Manix 2 to help get us our car out of deep snow today. We were going shooting, and our favorite spot was just above the snow line and we risked it anyways with an AWD Honda Element. We ended up high-centered on snow, and the trees around us had green branches, so I hacked into them just enough with my Manix to make them easy to twist off the tree. The edge held up great despite M390's reputation as a not-very-tough steel, and we got home fine.

Cutting open a box of screws. I use the Deckmates for general purpose screws these days. They just sink into wood effortlessly. They make them in black now which is great for general purpose. Also, I highly recommend the DeWalt star drive bit. If you've ever laid deck boards, you do not have to worry about the bit coming out while working.

Removing some old seals on a pneumatic throttle control valve. The Tenacious is a favorite beater knife for work. I usually keep all three edge variations at work.

Forgot to take pictures... Assembled my little belt sander and disposed of all the cardboard that had build up in a corner of the appartment for the last month.

Thanks for the laugh, I have to clean my PC monitor now...
The funniest thing is that I saw a lot of people do that, with less talent at aiming though !
