We've been slow at times here too. Yesterday I was whittling into a garbage can with my Kapara. Today I've had some work to do but also watching F1 practice on my phone. I'm almost caught up with work so the whittling will likely resume this afternoon

Hahaha, any reasons we have to use our knives. I figured paper was a better idea than destroying a 2x4 or something along those lines. That probably warrants a pink slip these days for the price of lumber!

Used this fancy little blade to make lunch, and got curious about the edge after cleaning up. Thin is in!

Native Salt on watermelon utensil duty
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I only post in this thread when I used my Spyderco for something really special, funny or unusual.
... like it was the case today with my REX 45 Manix LW:
In the flat where I live right now an old couple locked themselves out of their apartment.
They live in the second floor and the door to their balcony happened to be open.
So I drove my car under the balcony, climbed from the roof of my car onto the balcony in the first floor and than up to the one of the old couple in order to get inside and open the apartment door
Easy task? Well, not really.
The old folks have cats in their apartment and in order to keep those in, they have attached a net on the whole front of their balcony.
No way to get in... except one carries a Manix, easily to be opened one handed while clinging to the railing with the other hand, can make a clean, horizontal cut into the net and so access the balcony and then the apartment...
Problem solved, and no lockout service to be paid for the old couple

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Thanks!
Luckily I do a lot of climbing, so I was pretty well prepared (but not good enough to take knife-pics during the "mission". Would have needed three hands for that... )

Used this one today to cut some branches and bushes, while mowing the lawn.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
for a second, i thought you used a manix to dig up a land mine.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Changed the oil, oil filter and fuel filter in my truck today. Had to put a new fuel drain hose on the fuel filter housing.
Opened oil, cut a drain hose and trimmed a zip tie that holds the drain hose.
I'm pretty sure I was way over edged for these small task, everything cut like hot butter!!!
