A follow up to my earlier post about my K390 Endela I dulled yesterday. Got out the Sharpie and the Lansky and determined that the angle was more acute than the 17 DPS the Lansky goes down to. So, I busted out the Sharpmaker and about a dozen strokes per side later, it was slicing paper with ease again. Wow! I was pleased that the factory edge was 15 degrees and more pleasantly surprised at how little effort was actually required to get the dulled edge paper slicing sharp again! I think this Endela will find itself in my pocket very frequently.

You know it! It also passed my son’s hard-use test; having me cut up a banana for his snack. ;)

A mylar balloon was trapped in a tree off the second floor porch of our cabin.
Used a boot lace to tie my ClipiTool Standard to an eight foot long dead sapling.
The balloon can be seen in the background.

Image

The thumb holes provided secure lashing, but it was not long enough.
So then I used a dog leash to tie a Woodman's Pal to the sapling.
With that we had sufficient length, hooked the balloon and dragged it.
