Yes! I forgot to mention this, but later I figured someone else would. BKM is excellent on so many surfaces.

I used by Kapara to open a USPS box containing a First Generation C25 Centofante!
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Since you've already cleaned it, for the next time I'd recommend a bath of white vinegar. It worked wonders on the used Millie I bought, as it hadn't been used or properly cleaned in a while. One hour did it for S30V, I'd guess a couple more would do it for a tool steel.legOFwhat? wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 9:03 amMaintenance on my favorite mule! I probably let this PMA11 go a little too long before peeking under the scales.
Flitz wasn't strong enough to take care of this so I'm going to have to find something that will knock it out. Recommendations?

The new DHawk went to pick berries in the yard with me. It is so nice when all these varieties are ripening at once. The black raspberries are a longtime favorite.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Did you plant those, or do they all grow naturally? Regardless, lucky you!

I bet you have a lot of birds that visit your yard!

I used my Para 3 Maxamet to slice open bags of Nitrile gloves. The Maxamet performed the task admirably, without a wimper!
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Thanks, Rick. I planted all those. :D The black raspberries take me back to boyhood, picking them wild in the woods where i grew up was a special treat.
Our place came with an awesome Italian plum tree, and i have added a bunch of other fruit bushes, trees and canes. We've been here 7 years and i try to plant some new food plants and ornamentals each year.
Yup, the birds are extra happy. I love seeing and hearing them--I grew up along a creek in the sticks, but mostly have lived in the city the past couple decades. Fortunately we have a country cabin on the river in the rainforest. I try to have a generosity of spirit about everything in my life, but especially with gardening. We need the wild things, i am happy to feed them a little. Of course i would rather eat it myself or feed it to loved ones and neighbors, but i also don't begrudge the critters much.
I like squirrels more than a lot of folks, but they have decimated my cherries the past two years. If i wait for them to ripen properly, the squirrels eat them first. I use bird netting on the cherry trees and blueberry bushes, but i haven't stopped the squirrels. I would need a dog to do that. ... maybe eventually. Goats and a dog are maybe on the same timeline for us. I grew up with dairy goats and miss those ladies a lot. Goats can have such awesome personalities and they are so playful.
Some rabbits have moved in on our block the past couple years. We'll see how the garden takes it this year?
It's pretty great having some nature here tho. We are 2 miles from Downtown Seattle and we have plenty of wildlife-- including eagles and falcons.
Hope you're enjoying your yard and dog as much as possible.

Wouldn't that force a patina? Wouldn't be a bad ideaThomC wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:43 amSince you've already cleaned it, for the next time I'd recommend a bath of white vinegar. Nope. My initials were taken, so added a 1. Also known as...utter lack of creativity during signup. LolEnactive wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 4:27 pmYeah, man! Nice. My peppers are a bit behind yours.
Off topic QQ: is MB1 a Bridgestone reference? Props if so and disregard otherwise.
Meant to say earlier that’s a fantastic selection of berries btw. Blackberries take me back to my youthful, carefree days romping and ripping around the woods on foot and motorcycle. :spyder:

Mmmmm mb1. If only I knew then what I know now... saw one in the window when I came to college and should have bought it instead of a used Cannondale. Took me 2 cracked Cannondales and 2 more sold off to find my way to steel.

I actually just tried that Friday night. I'm an IPA guy myself and my neighbor had some and gave me one. A few of those could really sneak up on you!

To open a new 2.5l Osprey water bladder! The original in my old narrow gauge camelbak was... gross. Pleased to report the Osprey fits my old pack just fine, the fill mouth design I think is better than anything with a cap or plug, and the bite valve rocks!
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
O/T
Osprey packs and bladders are great. The key for me with hydration bladder hygiene is to have the long skinny hose brush to clean inside the hose.
