What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I’ve wanted to do that so many times to my phone... luckily I get over it.

Turned this:
To this:
With this:
After a few of these cardboard sessions in the past month or so - and dropping it blade-first on some stone pavers outside, yikes - the factory edge is finally snagging on printer paper and has a little edge damage.

Oy, mine, too! And it actually bounced this time - truly cringe-inducing. The g10 scale suffered more than the blade this time, luckily. I drop my knives way more than I care to admit.PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:32 pmMy heart stops every time I do something similar

Always a scary moment! Especially if your instincts kick in to try and grab it when it's falling. The worst is when it happens when just trying to take a pic to post here. I've done it a few times :o Put a nice little nick in my Delica Pakkawood scale...makes me annoyed with myself anytime I see it!JuPaul wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:44 pmOy, mine, too! Used my PM 2 to cut a slice of warm bread, fresh from the Breadmaker!
Earlier, I sliced a small branch from a maple tree with the Autonomy. I can't imagine anything this knife can't cut.

Lol - I definitely did that once with my cruwear manix. I set it on a pretty tall hitching post for a picture and knocked it like 5 feet down onto gravel. Doh!

I know what you mean... I blunted the Tip of my Endela (it is a bit more delicate due to the chisel grind that comes with SE) cause I rammed it into a log just to take a photo... :o
Rather silly, but the repair i did on the tip afterwards makes the knife look more "personal" at least and works just fine...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

The last thing I did? Playing with a Li'l Temperance while watching 'Better call Saul' on Netflix
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
After 4 weeks of hunkering down at home and another, maybe 2 months I have been going nuts. It all changed a few minutes ago when the wife came into my office with a plastic bag from Spyderco. It was the 2020 catalogue and the price lists, etc. I sliced it open with my Kapara and will have a lot of quality time to search out my next purchases.
BTW: The quality of the catalogue and the related items is of the same standard as the actual products...excellent!

Rhino just made shirt work of the plastic baggie containing the 2020 catalog and reveal vol. 2 which just showed up in my mailbox. :D

My red m390 pm2 was used as a pick and scrape off an old oil filter housing gasket.

Got my new clip in the mail and am happy to be able to carry my Stretch again. Did some light cardboard duty after our weekly produce box arrived today.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
