Helping my youngest to open her birthday presents, the best kind of use I can think of!
Even better if there was a knife in the package... :D (assuming she's old enough and likes knives! Anyway, happy birthday to her.. :) )
Thank you, no knives yet for gifts. I'd like to see her get a little older and 'calmed down' :D before that happens. No worries, I already started her EDC loadout so she can hit the ground running when she's ready. :p
:)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Cut some fairly thick (1/2"?) nylon rope of a kids swing so I could recycle the plastic seat and metal parts. I thought I might have to use pressure or saw it a little. Silly me. ZDP Dragonfly went right through it like nothing.

There were a few fir trees down on the trail while I was out running last night and I alternated between GB2 and Stretch2 V-Toku2 to trim some of the branches so there would at least be a path "through" the debris.
It was a lot of fun, the best way to cut was to bend the branch and slice into the tensile side and the whole thing would "CRACK!" like a thunderbolt. Necessitates careful placement of hands, eyes and body.
Past: Dragonfly, Air, Rhino, Lil' Native, Techno 2, Caly Jr., Brouwer, Chap LW, Para3, N5, Watu, ‘Chef, Mantra 2, SSStretch, PM2, Smock, Shaman, Advocate, GB2, Kapara, Military, Bradley Bowie, Province

Present: P4 K390 FRN

Future: Para3 Cruwear (someday)

Regrets: Most of them

Carving and whittling a pair of walking sticks and a couple wooden whistles for my little niece and nephew, out on a hike in the woods. :)

I would love to see a professional butcher make a video and post it online in which he or she uses a Spyderco Pacific Salt to break down and process a full steer for beef steaks and other meats. How likely would that be for someone to do that?

Hey Connor,

What ever happened with that Rex45 Military you carried for a good month straight? Haven't seen that one in a bit!

Oh, I still have it. Just been giving pocket time to others, that's all. ;)

Actually, I'm a bit put off by the handle color. Strange because that normally doesn't bother me, but ever since I boiled the G-10 handles to clean them, they've been a really gross looking washed out orange color. I guess subconsciously, it's enough to make me reach for another knife to put in my pocket.

I need to get my hands on some Ballistol, or else buy some new handle scales somewhere. I honestly prefer dark blue or green to orange anyway.

I used "Cam," the Traveling Delica, for whittling a stick I found on the ground at the US Embassy Compound in Kabul, AFG. I was passing the time waiting for the truck I was escorting to finish downloading, and it was a nice way to stave off the boredom.
