Rivers Edge Cutlery has 30 more coming just in case anyone is not on their reserve list.
I sent them an email. thank you.
Rivers Edge came through for me. I was able to pick up the extra I needed. I plan to raffle this model off later this year.
Good to hear :)

I ended up getting one from KnivesPlus. The knife is a little small for me and jimping could have helped a lot. I really like the look and feel of the scale texture. Super Blue and a unique model checked off the want list! All in all, I like the new and current Spydies more, but this feels like a piece of Spyderco history. The final ode to a Spyderco of the past? We shall see

I just placed an order, so they seem to be still in stock. I'll post an update if my order gets cancelled.

Received my KC preorder today. I had heard all the horror stories of KC overselling, so am happy to report that I managed to get mine. I carry my gray VG-10 Calypso Jr. all the time, but Super Blue is one of my favorite steels, so I imagine this one will take over my pocket space from the VG-10 version.

Nice setup SG!

What angle are you going for?

Angle cube says 15°. I figure it's actually less than that.

This is my first time having Super Blue and I really like it. Do you guys think sharpening at 15 degrees is the best for SB or 20 on the sharpmaker?

Very good! Let’s see some photos of that new edge. I don’t like my angle, and need a new one. I’m very new to sharpening, and only have a sharpmaker. I don’t dare attempt a new angle if I’m working on it manually. I need a better sharpening system because I don’t have the patience. I got a Kershaw to take a nice angle, but that was nothing I want to do again with the sharpmaker.

Many of the Spyderco FFG blades wind up with the edge bevel being about 2.5dps shallower than indicated by the angle cube, so at 12.5dps you're in the right ballpark for Super Blue !

Mine arrived yesterday! YAY!! ...but wait

yeah, I was a bit worried when I saw how mangled the Spyderco box was, it's actually a lot less compressed* in the pictures than it was before I opened it!
