Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
I've been carrying this thing to work and must say the corrosion resistance is quite sufficient for my needs. I'll pull it out of my pocket and the body side scale will be wet with sweat and after 9 hours in such an environment there are no signs of anything. Still crazy sharp too. Loving this knife. I think it's got me ready to get rid of some of my others.

Interesting statement in this video. Slicey Dicey, a YouTube knife reviewer, just recently posted a video that includes the Knifecenter PM2 Cruwear exclusive. According to the website it says a run of 1200. However I noticed over the past weekend it stated they would receive more in 5ish days...Don't recall exactly. Anyway, I have seen before when runs were not shipped to the distributor all at once. Ex. BHQ manix 2 m4 dlc had ~140 a week after release. I thought this may be the case, but according to Slicey Dicey, he called Knifecenter to confirm they were getting more, and the lady said they would continue to order batches as long as they are selling....?
I know an exclusive can be ran as many times as the distributor wants to order it ,but I thought there was a 10+ month lead time on getting additional exclusives ordered, scheduled, manufactured, shipped, etc... Has anyone else heard this information?
At 6min into the video he discusses the PM2.

Clearly the customer service person on the phone doesn’t know the details of purchasing... not surprised by that at all.

How many here have blemishes on the smooth G10 straight out of the box? Mine does and I notice on another forum there was one also
Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
Mine looked good. What type of blemishes did you receive - can you upload pics?

Mine had blemishes on the g10. Not terrible, but since I don't plan on using it, I was disappointed. I saw one for sale on BF with really terrible blemishes.

My apologies if this is already known or has already been asked.
Anyone got an idea as to the rockwell on this model? I'd guess its 61-62 judging by how slowly my 1 micron compound removes a 1200 grit scratch pattern (it essentially doesn't).

I would return that. Definitely not normal.
Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
Unfortunately Im in Australia and returning would be at least US$50 and always a risk on that journey twice.
Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
Great to know, thank you
Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
Mine came perfect, a little of the typical lock stick, but otherwise excellent.

KnifeCenter is a bit weird as well sometimes, even when it comes to regular sprints.EngDevGr3 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 6:04 pmInteresting statement in this video. Remember the rush on the caly 3 HAP40 sprint? I thought I missed out on my preorder at kc, but managed to grab one elsewhere. Several months later I randomly get a shipping notice for their caly 3. Normally I'd point this out as wacky service, but I was all too happy to get another one as it's all I need in a small folder. Not to mention they're out of production.
Wasn't until I got a sage 5 (new favorite smaller folder from spyderco by lengths atm) it saw less pocket time. Point being, kc's preorders seem to go all over the place sometimes as well.
I'm loving the cruwear pm2 more and more and it replaced my red dlt m390 pm2 as my go to reliable mid size all purpose folder. Cruwear is just too nice. I don't particularly care about corrosion resistance but it holds up fine in that regard. It takes and keeps a wicked edge and sharpening is super easy. I don't really understand how people dislike the smooth g10, it's actually mostly smooth and lightly textured but as far as general grip goes, do you really see your hand slipping with the pm2's well designed ergos? Not me, personally and I like the classy look. But the cruwear alone really makes it worth it already!
Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
Changed my red dlt M390 scales over to black smooth
G-10.
Put the textured black G-10 scales on the Cruwear.
M390: classy.
CRUWEAR: let's get down to business.
