Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
I would say a Wharncliffe Delica would be perfect for this as many have stated, seeing how it came to be through this forum with Jazz and Spyderco.
A jester would be my second pick.

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
This thought just came to mind:
Will the Delica ever get linerless G10 treatment??
I think the forum knife would be a great time to do just that.
Thus, I've decided against my initial Swick request in favor of a linerless G10 Jazzlica as the forum knife.

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
I’m pretty easy when it comes to Forum Knives. Basically, if the blade or handle says “Spyderco Forum Knife,” I will buy it.

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
The PM3 seems a natural for a forum knife even though it would not be one that I would be interested in.

I'd prefer if the imprint was on the handle. Much, actually. IMHO, nice shiny blades should only carry the :spyder: on one side and the designer logo on the other side.

I think the same, I think a dodo would sell in minutes, I asked for the forum a few days ago about this holy grail almost impossible to find.
Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
I like the idea of a forum knife to celebrate a fellow forumite. I think the Jazz delica in goldenrod is certainly a contender - I just worry that it may get a bit overlooked with the hap-40 version coming (soon?) as well as all the v-toku2. If it were linerless g10, then it would be a distinctly different knife and a home run.
Too early for a rhino sprint...
So perhaps Paul Alexander?
If it needs to be made in Golden, then UKPK would allow for broader participation. K390, H1/lc200n, 52100?

It doesn't have to be sprint.foofie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:12 pmI like the idea of a forum knife to celebrate a fellow forumite. In 2005 and 2006 Spyderco made Forum knives designed by members of this Forum: Adventura designed by Alex and Lava designed by Chad. They were just production knives with laser etch. The same can be done with Rhino. No need for modification. The knife already has good materials.

I'd love a Alistair Phillips Redback with Cooliba, Gidgee or some other Aussie native wood scales

A scaled down Police 4 or the Allistair Phillips design recently presented in Amsterdam.

S110V Urban with Titanium scales gets my vote (^_^)
Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
Linerless maroon G10 wharncliffe Delica in CTS-XHP with the forum designation as a blade stamp instead of etching.. Please, please, please!!!!!
Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
With so many good ideas here, it's hard to go wrong.
Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
Sage 5. Carbon fiber (without G-10). Different steel (M390, CTS-XHP, or LC200N).
That would be great, but since I don't think they'll ever actually offer a Sage in anything other than S30V, how about a carbon fiber SpydieChef instead?

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?
A forum PM3 would push me over the edge into buying one of those most likely.
