K390 seems to have universal love aside from people that will never buy a non-stainless knife. Seems like a good move to bring it to Golden for a sprint or two. A middle of the road 3-3.5" blade in K390 would have much more appeal to most people than a non-locking or obscenely large folder.

I was really hoping this year's Seki sprints would be a full set of K390.

I'd like to see some 3V/4V/V4E sprints first, but i would like to try some K390 for sure. I'm thinking Native LW and Military sprints would be good platforms to try the steel.

V4E in a Military or Manix XL would be pretty awesome. But PM2 or regular Manix would be an instant buy for me as well.

Big fan of my Police 4 and it has seen quite a bit of work although for my urban environment it's at times a bit big so I carry a smaller blade that gets most work done. It's currently on loan to a friend who needed to try out K390 as well as the Police 4 design.
On K390 I think that it shoulkd be tried out more in cheaper LW models so these new steels can and will actually be used and tested instead of just ending up as safe queens. I would love to see the Native 5 and Manix LW's in different steels including this one.
I believe someone also mentioned a K390 FRN Chaparral which sounds brilliant to me although it is somewhat against the original idea of the platform. ;)

I guess with these tariffs on European steels we won't see K390 Golden made spydies anytime soon...
Police 4 is made in Japan, Urban was made in Italy
What I miss is an M390 Military, we may not see that due to higher price now

FWIW the Knife Works CTS-204P green G-10 Military exclusive is still in stock:

CTS-204P is an American version of M390. The alloy compositions are identical.

Close enough to identical. 204p has marginally more tungsten than m390 amd 20cv.

I don't like the green scales, for me an M390 Military would be something like this, in CF

Also if it's not a dealer exclusive that would help us with availability in EU

From KW I've asked a friend in US to buy me the C36CFTIP TI MILITARY (at 200$ I don't understand how they're still available), I should have my hands on it sometime this summer

I have been giving some K390 a little time lately with my
Urban + Mule. Edge retention is very nice, and I find the sharpen ability to be on par with M4, maybe just a tad longer. This should be made in a PM2 and a Military.
It was previously said, but this is a "No Brainer"

I have and use both of those knives and agree. K390 is among my few desirable currently available production blade steels.
It makes me wonder about A11, composition is similar. I should probably pick the mule up, if still available, and see for myself.
In the meantime, can anyone make a comparison between these steels and comment on A11 making a good Golden candidate in place of K390, being a US steel?
