I can't remember if I read this in a past thread or not, but are there plans to release a smaller version of the Caribbean in the future if this model sells well?
You read my mind. I thought this was the small one and the pictures would indicate that is not a small knife

As Sal has said in this thread, the present version IS the smaller...

We travel the Caribbean a lot and I really want to like this. But the scale colors and pattern are just awful. Just my opinion ;)

I keep going back and forth. The pics on the last page don't seem too bad but the vendor website pics make it seem really loud. I keep thinking I can just dye it all black and live with it.

Looks like GP Knives is all out of the Caribbean Leaf PlainEdge for now.

Ugh the scales though. So perfect other than that.

It reminds me of a bee or the old school Yamaha racing colors. I like it! :)

I have no need for a Salt knife but the design looks great so I plan on picking one up. :)

I get that they wanted it to be brightly colored but this line is not going to be a pure work knife like most of the other Salts. It's too expensive for that. So it should look good. And it doesn't. Just my opinion!

Just bought a CC sheepsfoot SE on eBay. Price wasn’t bad vs distributors and I get it now vs waiting.

Just got the SE version today. Nice heft to the knife with good ergos and the compression lock is great. The yellow and black scales aren’t as bad as I thought they might be. Sal and the crew have a winner here

My PE came today from Rivers Edege Cutlery. I'm already in love with it! The scales are much better looking than the prototype I handled at the Oregon Knife Show in 2017 they seemed a little rough around the edges. Now it's time to give her some pocket time. :)

So normally I'd close a compression lock by letting the choil fall on my index finger (lefty). Is there enough space on the caribbean or am I going to be chopping myself up?

I think you’d be "chopping yourself up."

That’s my middle finger in there. I can’t fit my index finger there.
