I'm gonna go in a different direction here:
Bright blue or yellow G-10 with a highly stainless steel that you can put a really pretty finish on (VG-10? N690? Got any 14C28N?).

I see this as a friendly little EDC knife that would lend itself nicely to cutting up apples and such.

It would look kind of neat with a ceramic ball bearing lock nestled in the bright G-10, but I know Taichung will hit it out of the park with whatever locking mechanism you choose.

For me, I'd go with KISS(Keep it simple Sal). Go with S30v and green G10. :)
This also seems like a good approach to me.

Sal,

When creating this knife, when/how does the factory play a role? Do you come up with the specifics of the knife and then see which factory is best suited to that particular knife? Do you choose a factory first and then design the knife? Do you simply pick the factory that has the capacity to make the knife?

It's relatively easy to get someone to make a custom scale in G10, but extremely difficult to get one in Ti. For this reason I'd request full Ti frames. Oh yes, and a wire clip.

Full Ti! I love this idea.

I'm fine with keeping the frame lock. Wire clip, XHP or M4 (assuming it's made in Taichung).

Hi Sal,

for me i'd like a k390 blade Steel or M4, back lock and a wire clip..... G10 handle.....i'l study in deep the position of the clip to understand how the knife stay in my pocket to maximize the confort because this is a square shape knife.
About the blade i'd like a long rectilinear segment and a small but pronounced final curve.

I don't think a compression lock is the way to go with the Chokwe; the cross-section at the stop pin is already quite slender and a cutout for the lock would be a bit much. Frame lock just feels right, especially with the holes in the handle doubling as a lockbar relief cut. I'm also warming up to the idea of full Ti handles - the Chokwe has always felt like an 'elemental' design to me and the Ti seems to suit that.

Would it be possible to put a CBBL on a lil chokwe?

Or is that a "won't fit" also?

This would be my preference as well. I don't think it would be too thin in that area for a comp lock

Built just like the Pattada:
Polished G10 - any color but preference to dark green
Wire clip and domed hardware
Liner lock or Compression Lock
Steel - CPM 154/RWL34, CTS XHP, LC200N, CTS BD1N or Cruwear

Dark green G-10, deep carry clip, compression lock, carbon steel preferred.

Just another note on a full titanium build: G10/micarta will always be polarizing. If it's black, it's too bland for some — if it's a colorful option, it's never the taste for everyone.

With titanium, those who want a specific color will always have the option for inexpensive aftermarket anodization. Just a thought!

Ti is a possibility, but it does raise the price?

I’d love one at the 3.25 size

My 2 cents: Taichung, wire clip, compression or frame lock, full ti or earth-toned (or dark green) G10, XHP or LC200n. Sold.

I have wanted a full size chokwe for a while. But a chance at a new one is always nice. Hopefully not too much smaller. Say a 3.25-3.5 blade. I would prefer a tough stainless a steel and some form of colored g10 handles. compression lock or frame lock would be nice.
