Lapel Pins

#1

Post by Mini2white »

I was hoping the knowledge base here could assist me. I am trying to gather the date of release on the below lapel pins. I considered contacting Empire pins, but it may be a big ask considering I'm not even a customer. I've included a photo of my current collection that I'm not far off completing. I haven't even seen a photo of a Centofante or a Black Pacific, so if anyone has one I'd love to see it.

G. Sakai Firefly
Endura Red
Endura Black
Military Silver
Military Black
Lum Chinese
Snap-It
Pride
ATR
Cricket
Civilian
SpydeRench
Police
Centofante
Dodo
Bi-Fold
Dyad
Poliwog
Native
Pacific Salt Black

Thank you. I really like that these represent the new release knife. If they were easy for me to get they would be on my hat and many other things.

OP, do you have all these knives as well? Cause I need to see the SpydieWrench
The first time I saw a Spyderco was the early 90s at a knife shop in a mall. I can still see the SpydieHoles through that glass display cabinet. My parents wouldn't buy any of them for me... so now I buy them all. :spyder:

That's a really nice pin collection. I got a szabo hawk pin with a purchase once. Don't really remember from what or who.

None of them have moving parts. That would make them expensive to manufacture. I agree they are very cool...

Pins don't come up for sale or trade very often. New models do for a while. I've been hunting the Manix, Centofante and a Black Pacific Salt for a long time now. It was hard for me to even find pictures of them when I started collecting these.

Good luck on your search.

Cool! Anyone have any idea how many pins were made? Is there one for every model? Anyone have them all?

Very nice collection!!! I wish I had that many. I believe this is what you are looking for:

I honestly don't recall where I picked these up. Might have been at one of the old factory stores in the Golden area, back before they shared space with the factory site. Here's the three I have:

Thank you Mr Blonde. At least I know what I am still hunting for. These don't appear in catalogues and rarely in photos as a collection or even as a collectable. I appreciate the effort.
