This model intrigues me a lot but there are discordant opinions about it: for some it is great, for others the relationship between the handles and the handlebars is not apt. The version you are talking in title is certainly noteworthy.

congrats man! It really is a great knife but it definitely needs a deep carry clip on it ;)

These look VERY nice !....are they sprints? I just checked out the price, and well, this is one I'd need to save for.

Mine is not a free dropper, action is really stiff. No complaints, just some info.

My copy was same as Bdubs - also no complaint. I have not touched the pivot nor added any lubricant. l am waiting to see if opening/closing is enough.

Mine was stiff as well, not as smooth as the Cruwear version I own, but it started to loosen up (haven't touched the pivot)

mine is not a free dropper either and I haven't messed with the pivot. usually prefer free droppers but I may have changed my mind with this knife, so perfect

Regarding the tightness of the pivot, if your blade isn't free dropping on a new knife (which I imagine is a common thing) Do you guys tend be patient and allow it to work in naturally, or do you add some lube and/or adjust the pivot? I'm guilty of the latter within the first day or two of owning. Small drop of Kroil and tiny pivot adjustment to get things moving. Was just curious if I'm the only one with no patience haha.

I ordered (2) PM3 M390's. First one I received was a free dropper, perfect centering, strong detent, excellent. Second one I received was perfectly centered, strong detent, very stiff closing, little lockstick. I washed it out, compressed air, lubed it up, played with it for a week, still stiff closing but the lockstick went away. My patience lasted about a week. I backed the pivot off ever so slightly and that fixed it, and now its just like the first one. I feel like I have a new set of twins. I am a twin, so I need everything in pairs. :)

Hahaha yes, I think I am content for this month. Had to sell some old Buck Knives to get them. Love me some M390. Broke up a fight this morning between the both of them arguing over who was Batman and who was Robin.
