PM2 with fluted CF scales?
Can anyone think of any reason this couldn't be done? Anyone interested in this idea?

I’ve wanted a fluted titanium para 2 for years. I’d take a pm2 with fluted cf as well.

I'd take fluted over contoured in the case of PM2 to be honest.
I mean, contouring surely looks nice with most Taichung knives (in fact lots of them are contoured); the difference is most their screws are pan/oval head, unlike PM2's countersunk.
A contoured PM2 scale thus will inevitably cause incline around the otherwise plateau surface over and around the screw (not just aesthetic but also potential hot spots).

Don't know about others, but looking from this angle at a contoured PM2 scale always always turns me off

Are we talking about the same thing? I don't have any fluted knives, but they look to be contoured, no?
Or are you talking about chamfered, where the edges are rounded off, but the scales themselves are flat.

I think he's referring to the screw holes... in order to use the factory screws, the holes need to be deep in the new scales, so they still engage the liners... I'm reading it as he thinks they look a lil unfinished this way, and may cause hot-spots...?

I had the Fluted and contoured carbon fiber native for a while. Its beautiful. When the sun hits the CF it looks amazing
