yojimbo question
yojimbo question
Im new to buying knifes. I just bought a delica 4 and love it. Its my first spyderco and i want more. I was at a local gun show and came across someone selling knifes and i saw this yojimbo. The guy said it was used and i bought it for a good price. When i got home i started looking for more info on it. After looking, i think i bought a fake. Like i said, im new to all this. Any help would be appreciated

Yeah, that's a fake. The color of the digi cam looks off for Spyderco but it's a moot point because the Yojimbo hasn't been produced in camo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. http://spydiewiki.com/index.php?title=C85_Yojimbo

Definitely fake, blade shape is off and it doesn't sit right in relation to the handle when closed, digicam aside.
Gotta be careful, there are fakes at gun shows, on ebay, and even on amazon sometimes. Best to stick to trusted, authorized dealers. I've had good luck with New Graham Knives and Knifeworks.

Thanks for the help. Thats what i thought. Ive been in touch with the guy i bought it from. He wants to take a look at it. We will see what happens

Sorry you got duped. If you got it on the super-cheap (less than $30) it might make a good beat around knife. On the other hand, it really sucks that these things are out there.
