BBS has them for a cool $319.97 + shipping + tax (if you are in CA).

Wow, KnifeCenter just left me a voicemail to say that they won’t be filling the order I placed earlier today when they showed in stock, because they had a lot of orders before me.

Incredibly bad business.

Anyone know how many of these Spyderco will produce? Due to limited availablity, it seems closer to 600 than 1,200.

After all of the hype and talk about this I went on and bought one because I figured if I don't like it I should not have any problem getting rid of it. Got it yesterday from New Graham who sold out in about 10 seconds after I ordered. $191.

I’m surprised. Seems like all I was hearing was negative stuff about the price. Now they are selling out like crazy. Go figure.
I wasn’t going to get this one but figured I wanted to try out the peel ply carbon and s90v. I don’t have either in my collection.

Bento Box has it, but it is priced at $319.95 which is way more than I'm willing to pay.

Na. Just a different, more patient business model. Country knives is similar. But if you got that itch, they might help you scratch.
They had dodo’s recently. Only place that I found. And you know they were not fake. Got my red Persian from a place like this. It’s a service. An expensive service.

Exactly.

I recently purchased a HAP 40 Endura4 from Bento Box and I was glad to be able to get it....

How do you think they manage to have long discontinued models?

It's not price gouging. This sprint run isn't a life necessity - fresh water and bread after a major storm or even a chainsaw or generator after a major storm. It's a luxury item, a fancy new knife that nobody needs and was deliberately made in smaller quantities to ensure a degree of exclusivity. There are plenty of people that are willing to pay the Bento Box prices and they seem to be making it work for them.

This was my reasoning. I love my 52100 pm2, and it may be my favorite. I have 1 s90v knife , the native 5, and I love the steel but hate the frn. If I had bought the g10 native the first time, I probably wouldn't buy this.. but... I didn't. So whatever :)

Buy the m390 p3 from them, I am in line for that too. I feel like that one is a good buy. But I will not pay MSRP for a knife that I don't NEED.

Agreed. Bento Box can charge whatever they feel the market will bear, however, I don't have and I won't buy at that price.

I had an order in with Oso Grande, just got an email saying they are sold out but getting another batch in 3-4 weeks. Looks like a small first batch was sent to dealers and the rest will be shipped in a few weeks.

Approx 26 in stock @ GPknives, go get em folks... I'm passing due to being utterly irresponsible with my "fun money" budget lately. :o
