Wharncliffe Salt Coming Soon (in LC200N)?

#1

Post by tangent »

It would seem that getting a Wharncliffe Salt in LC200N would be a natural progression...Sal? Any chance this will happen in the near future?

Well, there’s the Caribbean. Does that count?

Haven't seen much chatter about these? I haven't had a wharnie yet and I am a huge fan of the Salt series, so pretty excited to give these a try. Wonder when we will see them?

There is an Endura Wharnie coming out. Not sure why it wasn’t talked about here. Thread over on Bladeforums.

More interested in the wharni endura. Unless they make the wharnies salt in flat ground lc200n. The thick hollow grind h1 wharnie will not compare in performance to the flat ground vg10 or hap40 I have.

As one of the wharnie instigators you should start a thread here! (Pretty please) No action on the bf thread for a month. Add a poll for steels, I want hap40 not s30v.

I see there are plans to release a Wharncliffe Salt in H1 (both plain and serrated). I was really hoping for LC200N in the plain edge...perhaps that will come in the future.

There hasn't been any progress on the Endura Wharncliffe thread on bf's for awhile but Sal was carrying a prototype around so I do live in hope something comes together sooner rather than later! I picked up a HAP40 Delica Wharncliffe a few weeks back just to get a feel for Jazz's design, the design just plain work's! Down the track Salt versions of each would be great "user" knives!

Anyone know any inside information as to when this one will be released? (Referring to the Salt 2 Wharny) It's in their midyear catalog update/supplement. This is going to be an awesome knife in serrated H1.

Soon. Sal said he was using a SE one, and it was a cutting machine, or some other description.

Of course I will need one. Is full serrated and wharncliffe a good combination?

Excited for this. I love my Salt knives, and I've been waiting on this to try a Wharnie.
