Okay. Thank you. I've learned something from this.

If I hack a jpg URL from the main Google Photos database,
the URL is a massive paragraph.
That is the one you and probably many others are unable to see.

If I add the photo to my ClipiTool photo album first
and then hack the URL from there,
the URL is the size of a sentence.
That is the one you could see.

Google Photos is infuriating.
Its predecessor, Picasa, worked beautifully.
Then Google bought it and gummed it up.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Saint Arnold's has broken the mold for this one.
The Saint's image does not appear on the can
and the cans are secured in those stubborn PakTech plastic holders.
Just turn the whole six pack upside down and peel them out.
It's worth it.

Sal,

or in this case better Eric.
Did you ever think about a "Lil ClipiTool" that means a shorter and lighter locking knife whit only a bottle opener as second tool.

It sounds like you are describing the Spyderco ClipiTool with the screwdriver tipped bottle opener
except the blade does not lock. The stubby blade is a dandy letter opener.
Here is my raw album for that little gem. https://goo.gl/photos/mR9gQnHGhc9strPS6

Thank you for that. This Bud's for you!

In the relentless battle of the beers, brewers struggle for new ways and gimmicks
to increase market share. The latest fad is nitro infused beer.

If memory serves, Guinness started it a couple of decades ago
with a torpedo shaped widget crammed into bottles.
Fins folded out of the way to allow it to be inserted into the neck
and then spread open to prevent its escape into the mouths of drinkers.
Budweiser has the widget, a puck of plastic, attached to the bottom of cans.

Instead of using CO2 to carbonate the beer, Nitrous is used and infuses the widget.
Upon opening, pressure is released and Nitrous gas escapes from the widget
to create a smooth, foamy head of tiny bubbles.

After fifty years of being careful not to bump, shake, knock over or drop a can of beer,
Budweiser is instructing me to turn this beer upside down three times and pour straight down.

All these years of beer drinking, it's only now that I realize that I don't really like beer.
What I really like is CO2.

Cheers!

Faithful readers, I must confess that I have gone on the wagon, temporarily.

Going “on the water-wagon” meant to drink water, instead of alcohol. ... To “get on the water-wagon” was to give up alcohol, and jump on the “bandwagon” of the temperance movement, and to drink water from water wagons, as opposed to beer from beer-wagons.

It's been almost a week but feels like mere months. But fear not.
The ClipiTool Standard is still as handy as a pocket on a shirt.
Why just yesterday I used it on the tension adjustment for
my new Lock Leather Urban Carry Holster
for my recently acquired Kel-Tec PF9. It's my Green New Deal!

No bottles were opened but I did use the blade on my ClipiTool Standard
to harvest or would it be forage for Yaupon to make tea.

Image

Yaupon holly, a pernicious shrub, is hated here in East Texas
about as much as Kudzu is in the South.
But recently I discovered that it can be made into tea.
It is the only plant in North America with caffeine.
It also has the flavor molecule that makes dark chocolate so pleasurable,
theobromine, the food of the gods.
So I promptly went into my front yard where it is trying to take over my driveway
and trimmed off a few leafy twigs.

Image

Commercially available Yaupon tea leaves (everything is for sale on the Internet)
are sold dried, parched and even ground up.
They claim it's better tasting but I think it is because it is not practical to ship green Yaupon.

Image

It was not looking promising, friends. A french press produced a pale green liquid.
The longer it steeps, the greener it gets however.

Image

At first, it tasted as weak as it looked. But then it became tastier and tastier.
I drank a whole cup of it. I am not a tea drinker though and can't compare it to regular tea.

During the War Between the States, Southerners drank Yaupon tea because tea and coffee
were difficult to come by. After the war, Yaupon tea was disdained as a reminder of the unpleasantness.

Its latin name, ilex vomitoria, is off putting for sure but false.
One theory is that Yaupon was given that name to prevent competition with real tea.
Another theory is that it was used in Native American ceremonies that resulted in vomiting. That notion has been dismissed because the beverage probably included additional ingredients that induced the vomiting.

In any event, I did not feel the least bit queasy. It was very pleasant.
Now I have had a cup or two every afternoon for about four days. I recommend it.

Well, it looks like I ran everyone off with that Yaupon tea.
But I have to tell you that I have been drinking it everyday and
I'm off coffee and I've lost ten pounds.

To reward myself, I found a low carb beer.
Featured before on this thread has been
plain Michelob Ultra, Ultra Pure Gold Organic Light Lager,
and Ultra Infusions Lime and Prickly Pear Cactus.

Today's refreshing beverage infused with pomegranate and agave
natural flavors has only 95 calories, a highly sessionable 4.0% Alc/Vol,
and, most importantly, only 2.6 grams of carbohydrates.

Hey, if chick beer makes me a lean, mean drinking machine, so be it.

This one is not about the beer. It's about the can.

To emphasize the keto properties of this beverage
Michelob sells the beer in a slim can.

Image

Divided in half vertically, white on one side, blue on the other,
it becomes even slimmer visually.

Image

The 2.6 carbs is prominently displayed at the top.
That my friends is how they make the really big bucks in advertising.

If you have followed this thread very long, you know that I have used my ClipiTool Standard as a rudimentary armory tool on occasion. Here is my next big idea for the Company.

Add a speed loading tool for pistol magazines. Collaborate with RJK Ventures to produce a loading tool inspired by their Armory Tool below.

Image

The secret lies in two fullers on opposite sides of the long, skinny loading tool. One to push down on a cartridge in a magazine and one to thumb the next cartridge in on. The tool is narrow enough to clear the lips of a 9mm magazine and can be used on larger caliber pistol cartridges as well.

Visit https://www.rjkventures.com/collections ... rmory-tool for more information and to see videos of the Armory Tool in action.

The RJK tool is made of plastic and bendy. In my opinion a steel one would be better. The rest of the gadgets are not of particular interest. However, the loading tool could be opened with a flipper. When closed, the flipper could be used as an unloading tool. Having a full knife handle to work with would make it easier to use. Ideally it would use the center liner to lock it open.

Took an Einstein vacation. That's one where you stay with relatives.
Once a year, the clan assembles, usually at a beach house.

This year, we went to Hochatown in southeast Oklahoma.
As I've mentioned before, my wife's cousin's son's wife's father has a brewery there.
But more about that later.

He also has cabins there and because I am such a close friend of the family,
we got a deal on a cabin for a week.
Turns out, the place is a booming resort town. Who would have thunk it?
My advice is skip the Maze and do the Zip Line.

The good son, well, he's my only son, brought me some beers
from a local brewery in San Antonio.

So much for low carb beer and Yaupon Tea.
