Re: New Brouwer offering?
Brouwer now avaiailable at DLT. Better hurry.
Re: New Brouwer offering?
If anyone has this yet, can you verify if it’s the same clip as the PM2 or para3? I’d like to look at some clip alternatives but want to make sure they’re compatible. My Brouwer will be here this week, but I don’t have the anything else with that style clip to compare.
Re: New Brouwer offering?
Somebody has to have this by now. Despite the blade being s30v I really want it just waiting to hear about it first.
Wanted: M4 PM 2 or manix M4.
Re: New Brouwer offering?
I got it on Monday. It’s fantastic. Everything I was expecting. Sal / Spyderco and Jerry Brouwer did a marvelous thing here.
The clip is definitely awkward when pocketed. I think it’s size and placement has everything to do with ergonomics. Still, I measured it and it appears to be the Para2 clip, so I ordered a replacement from MGX. Should be here this week and I’ll post pics when it gets here.
It definitely feels like a slender native in my hands, even if I didn’t know that was Brouwer’s inspiration it would be obvious. I find the blade length and shape perfect for my cutting chores, and I get a full four finger grip using the choil. Opening action is smooth like butter and the lock action is what I expect from a spyderco frame lock.
I can’t say it will win everyone over, but I’ve always wanted a more slender native (less tall from bottom of handle to top) and something visually similar to a Sebenza and the old Terzuloa spydercos (like the C15) that I missed.

I ordered mine from Cutlery Shoppe and it showed up yesterday. What a beautiful little knife. The Taichung factory has done it's usual fine work - fit and finish are perfect. It is a very classic looking knife that is perfect for EDC in an office environment. It is about the same size as the Native or the Delica.
Re: New Brouwer offering?
I don't think there's any worry this one is going to sell out...

The fact that everybody is looking to replace the clip doesn't ring any bells at Spyderco, life is good :D

Re: New Brouwer offering?
I'm looking forward to getting this knife bc it reminds me of a slimmed down Sage or Native. I will definitely be putting a deep carry clip on it as well.

Just ordered one from Rivers Edege Cuttlery. Just looked too good to pass on. :)

Re: New Brouwer offering?
MXG Titanium clip is a great improvement and matches nicely!
Re: New Brouwer offering?
I have a question about the overall size. Has anyone tried taking the clip off and just dropping it in the pocket? I’m curious on its pocket manners for lack of better words. My father in law would not use the clip and is in need of a good knife to replace an old cheap one.
Wanted: M4 PM 2 or manix M4.
Re: New Brouwer offering?
It’s marginally longer and a bit thinner than your average Swiss Army knife. Physically I think it’d fit well in pocket carry. However, I’ve never felt comfortable with frame locks flopping around loose. YMMV of course.Luke2236 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 12:08 pmI have a question about the overall size. Re: New Brouwer offering?
Is that a para 3 clip? Yes it is and I think the sand wash finish on the clip matches well. Oh yeah, it's the off set Para 3 clip.
