My first Spyderco!

#1

Post by TriggerThumb »

I wanted to wait for my first post until I was officially a spyderco owner! I finally picked up the manix lw in s110v. I have a chicago (for my gf), wooden dragonfly (for my daughter) and a zdp ladybug in the mail as well. Im hoping I can pick up a delica and dragonfly in v-toku and a caly jr in super blue when they drop. I have to say, Im starting to hate spyderco, the stress in going through worrying about missing these sprints is killing me!!

Its an honor to own knives from a company that cares so much about its customers. Thanks all cant wait to start posting!

Welcome to the forum. Very nice choice. That S110v Manix is one of the best cutting tools out there IMO. Be sure to report back on all your Spyderco adventures!

Welcome to the empty wallet club! That's a very capable knife you chose, I put one through it's paces when it first came out.

Thanks all! Evil D- something Ive been curious about while lurking on the forum... photobucket pics never seem to show up, and it looks like you documented your test thoroughly, i would love to see the pics. Solutions? Would be a shame to lose all that documentation for future generations. I appreciate the effort you went through to document your experiment, and (potentially) sacrificing your blade to do so.

Yeah, Photophuckit has ruined the internet. I'm not even sure if you can view pics on their site anymore, but this page has a bunch of the pics from that thread, basically any that you see of the Manix around bushes.

Welcome to the forum TriggerThumb! :)

I think you'll like S110V and if it came sharp out of the box depending on what you use it for you may never need to sharpen it.

Unless of course you're like most here and you have to get it even sharper.
