1st RIT Dye Attempt

#1

Post by OkanSeven »

Hey guys and gals, I was recently looking at RIT dying a knife of mine to spice it up a bit. So I went to the store and picked up some dye. I grew up on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Donatello was my favorite. That has bled into a love of green and purple color combos. So I snatched up some plum purple and my Endura and Roadie and went to town.

Especially looks great paired with my Worker Sprint and ZDP189 Dragonfly

Let me know what you guys think and please share any of your RIT dye projects

Did you add any vinegar or salt to the mix?

Nope, just hot water and like a cap and a half of dye, mixed and dunked haha

By dunked do you mean literally a single quick dunk and that’s it?

Boiling RIT water?
The first time I saw a Spyderco was the early 90s at a knife shop in a mall. I can still see the SpydieHoles through that glass display cabinet. My parents wouldn't buy any of them for me... so now I buy them all. :spyder:
