I picked up a Reverse "S" SpyderEdge MeerKat today at my local dealer.

...Wow! What a great knife. I love the Phantom Lock. The woman who takes care of me at the store said that when they got the knife in, they couldn't figure out how to close it! heh, heh. I guess it will make a cool conversation piece. My father already likes mine.

What are your thoughts on this amazing <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> ?

It's fun to watch ppl's faces when they can't figure the lock out... I carry in my rear left, I can thumb it from reverse grip and place it back in one smooth motion. Ppl spend like 20min, and then you just touch the right spot.

I ONLY stropped the edge on my Nav 'kat, it hasn't seen a stone yet. Slices like **** broke loose. Mirror polished edge. My father likes mine, but the problem is the my mother likes it too.

I agree VW in fact it's 1 of the quicker opening <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s I own.
Once you figure it out I use a semi inertia opening by just unlocking the blade and letting it swing open. Ron

The Meerkat is a great design.
I have been using my Meerkat PE as a EDC for 5-6 weeks.
It's not the most solid lock up knife I have, but it works just fine for opening and cutting up boxs.

I also have one of the reverse-S Meerkats...Carry it as a back-up to my Millie. Great little knife for life's everyday chores when a big blade isn't practical. And the fun factor of watching others trying to figure out how to close it is priceless!

I love my Meerkat too (also SE, reversed S) <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
It's small, nice and with great ergonomics. And the Phantom lock adds the right touch. Yet sometimes I preffer the front lock of the Navigator.

Just received mine this morning - PE reverse "S". Really cool little knife. I can see this one getting a lot of carry time.

At first I wasn't real big on the wire clip but now I've come to really like it...grabs the pocket real well and doesn't have a tendency to snag on things. The rounded corners are also nice as they don't scratch things either. A great little knife!
