Got a green Salsa coming in the mail from KBR, this is 1 model I have stared at and said hmmmmmmm I dunno, but now i kinda can't wait.

Does it FEEL as big in your hand as it looks?

The ergos look like a winner if you have semi large hands like I do. Ron

Ron :

I had a "tan" ( actually more grey ) Salsa
I passed on to vampyrewolf ; ergo's great!
I was just "turned off" by the FACT it's
made in Taiwan <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> quality though!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Have the salsa in my back pocket right now Al...

I have long fingers and a medium sized palm. It allows me to grasp the handle nicely, though my thumb caps the spine(just about to tip) for a full grip.

It feels like they just shortened a 4" into a 2.5", without taking any of the wideness away. I love it. Wide handle and belly. It goes in the back pocket though as it does take up space. There is plenty of tip control in any grip so far.

I was the first one to handle the "pass around" salsa a while back and I loved it. I'm going to Korea next week and wanted a knife that didnt look like a knife but wasn't completely useless. I went into the knife store and immediately thought about that Salsa that I liked. Despite the fact that it's made in Taiwan I picked a green one up in combo edge and am carrying it again. I only wish I could get it in the S-Curve blade like the meerkat, then how about orange annodized. Now that would rock. Anyway be happy about your Salsa it is a very useful small blade that doesn't feel small and fits in my medium hands perfectly.

I just got my green salsa two days ago. I think its a great knife. It is very well built, quality is excellent. I'm not sure about the AUS-8 blade...but we'll see. I was planning on carrying it as an EDC but I just picked up a FRN native with S30V blade so that will probably take over.
I really like the salsa so I'm going to hold onto it. My version ,I believe, has some of the updates so I have absollutly no complaints.

I think I'll like it, also I don't think the made in Tiawain will matter that much, <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> is known for great QC.
The AUS-8 blade seems like a good choice for a folder this size.
I am old enough to remember when it was considered state of the art and I've always been happy with it in the past <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Ron
