Spyderco Maxamet Status Check

With the release of the 2018 catalog many have pointed out that the Maxamet Paramilitary 2 is missing. Is this omission deliberate or was it simply missed?

I know many people have put off purchasing this knife when it was released because so many sprints and exclusives were released at the same time. But now the Maxamet PM2 seems hard to find. Are more coming?

Seems like an odd omission yet it also would seem odd if they weren't regular production when the maxamet Manix2 Lightweight and Native5 Lightweight are both regular production.

Para Military 2 Maxamet is listed on Spyderco's website as a new model. It's not listed as a sprint like the other sprint runs are. It takes a long time to put a catalog like Spyderco's together. Just a guess but perhaps the PM2 Maxamet came along too late for them to include it in the new catalog.

They remembered the Native lw and Manix lw. I did see one online retailer describing the PM2 as a Sprint Run but I think this is a mistake. The PM2 is already hitting stores and the Para3 hasn't even been released yet and didn't get a mention.

I hope they have plans for a back lock Manix as well as the Military

It was listed in the mid year release catalog for 2017, so it seems odd that it wouldn't be ready to list in the 2018 catalog

I don't see any reason why they would include it in the mid-year supplement and not in the 2018 catalog if it was standard production..... hopefully it's just a mistake, I'm enjoying using my maxamet PM2 hard knowing that I can get another if I break it... not that I want to, but it's not like my Elmax which I love but I am more gentil because I know I can't get another.

It has to be a mistake. There are multiple sources that have confirmed that it is a production model.

I bought my para2 first, and have a native coming in for tuesday, they are sold out if the para3 at my store but I am on the list.
This is one of those metals that I want duplicates of for sure.
