Will be mine as my first Spyderco fixed blade; first rustproof. Looking forward to it! Time to renew my fishing license :D

Size is perfect for me. I like the 4" cutting edge. Sheath looks great.

I have a bunch of Spydie fixed blades and this will be my next one. Looks like a great knife for my uses and not just for fishing either. It just looks like a good utilitarian design. This will also be my first knife in LC200N. On top of all that the price is very good.

I noticed it is made in Japan and uses LC200N. Very interesting. I wonder which maker is offering this great knife at a great value?

I’m very surprised at the price and the fact it’ll be made in Japan. :)

The design from what I can see looks like it will serve well as an all rounder and I don’t have any LC200N either so it’s a must have.

I’ve been looking to buy my non knife guy son in law a decent knife he can use when fishing and I think I’ve found something to fit the bill perfectly. I’ll set a 28-30deg bevel on it, buy him a SharpMaker to go with it and send him on his merry way.

Hey guys, all indications were that this knife was being made in Golden. I guess that could have changed but it would be news to me. Maybe Sal will clarify for us.

Knifeworks, GPknives and BladeHQ list the Waterway as made in the USA. Three out of four is good enough, right?

I guess I should have looked at a few more dealers. I saw that KC had it listed as made in Japan but it does appear that all the other dealers list it as made in the USA.

Lance, have you experimented much with different bevels on this knife?

Hey Justin, I really haven’t. I keep it pretty simple with my edges. 30 degrees works well for me on most knives and I often use a 40 degree microbevel. I have a few that I keep at 20 degrees with a 30 degree microbevel but I haven’t tried that on my Waterway yet.

The wait is starting to hurt....I've been carrying a Spydiechef for the past year or so and love the steel for EDC and carefree saltwater antics, really looking forward to having it in a fixed blade!

Don't know if it will take the place of my Aqua Salts, but it will definitely be in the mix. Looking forward to the Waterway.

I could handle the Waterway on the Amsterdam Meeting. This is exactly what i wanted. I fish in Norway from time to time and i always wanted a good finger guard, slim blade, no sharpening choil, great corrosion resistant steel AND made from spyderco. Very good job Surfingringo!

I think I was just confused by the email they sent me. It said ready to ship, but had the wrong address. So I corrected the address and it no longer says ready to ship. Didn't mean to add any confusion.
