Wowza... the new models are up for pre-sale already on KnifeCenter, and some of those I was looking at are quite expensive:

Respect: $364
Zoomer: $390
Warrior Hawk: $312
PPT Sprint: $227

I was trying to decide which H1 Serrated folder to order (Pacific, Assist, Tasman) with the $15 off eBay coupon when I received Knife Center's 2018 email. Turns out an Orange Spyderhawk Salt is EXACTLY what I wanted! Already preordered - now it's time for the waiting game!

Congrats Surfingringo on the Waterway.
Interesting to see the Taiwanese factory will be producing a zero-ground convex blade.
Frankly, the Native Salt would be 100% more attractive without the black hardware/clip imo.
Kopa sprint is a pleasant surprise :)

Hi LC, that is actually the Waterway. The design went through quite an evolution and the picture shown with the name is actually an older prototype. The Waterway will look like the picture on page 116-117. Hopefully it won't go into the print version like that but if it does, I trust you guys will keep folks informed. :)

ETA: That handle is a new textured G10. It is a texture that they created specifically for this design to keep the g10 grippy in wet and bloody conditions. I"ve been using it for awhile now on one of the prototypes and it is very grippy and comfortable.

Nice one Lance. :spyder:

Something isn't right about the Respect.
It's the Blade thickness in question for me.
It states .300 thick or 6mm
300 would be I believe 7.36mm
6mm is .236, not even a 1/4"
Does anyone know for sure what the thickness is?
Personally, I really doubt Sal wou ld have went .300
I'll bet it's 6mm or .236
But, .236 or 6mm is still PLENTY beefy :D

I couldn't even get past the Sprint page.....

THE CALY JR. IN SUPERBLUE. Unmolested and looking just like the original. Well done Sal & crew

SPYDERHAWK this one pleases me and I am so glad to see the traditional handle and barrel screw clip.

The KOPA..... Roman has finally gotten the clipless he has always wanted.

I know what I need to start saving for..... these will all be purchased in multiples.

It is good to see the stop-lock in production...

I did not expect to see the Ti Damascus Delica/Endura as regular production models...

Interesting to see also that they decided on the older style Pacific Salt handles.

I'll probably grab a Native 5 Salt, and I still need a Pacific Salt SE...

Knives I will buy ASAP:

- SPYDERHAWK! THANK YOU SAL! I'm going to pre-order 4!
- ATR 2. I've always loved this design and the revision fixes the things I didn't live about the original while keeping all I loved.
- Waterway. I'm all for more salt fixed blades. Looks like a great general purpose outdoors knife. I love how pointy the tip is!

Knives on my "maybe" list:

- Caribbean. Both blade shapes look good, but I'm planning to hold out for the larger version.
- Chinook 4. I'd own one if it had less belly, might still get one as is.
- CF PPT. Always liked this knife but never did buy one. Might grab one of these, they'll be the lightest run yet.
- The new clipit tools. Wondering why there is such a weight difference between them?
- Zoomer. Comfortable looking knife and that's a new steel for me.
- Warrior Hawk. Looks rad, hard to justify though :D

Knives I probably won't buy, but I think they look really good and want to praise them:

- Black Shaman. Looks slick!
- Rescue 3. Nice update to a classic!
- Native Salt. Bit small for me but always happy to see the salt line expanded!
- Parata. Blade shape isn't for me, but seeing a stop lock folder makes me wonder if the Military 2 is coming in 2019?!?
- Caly jr. It's a classic, surprised it ever left. If I ever go back to small knives this would be at the top of my list.

im on page 80 adding as i go

Big takeaway for me here is Moki cementing its return to form after tentatively coming back with the Caly 3 and Baby Horn sprints last year. Moki is even better represented this year on the sprint run page: Kopa, Shabaria, and Calypso Jr. are all theirs, if I’m not mistaken.

Some nice surprises.
The must-haves for me:
Waterway! (finally!)
PPT sprint (thank you! S90V)
Delica wharncliffe sprint in Hap40 (not a surprise, but still a new, must-have)

I like the Respect, but not enough budget for stuff I won't use.

Lance, nice job, and congrats. Can't wait to bloody one up next year. Really excited to see this come out and put one or two to use..... Looks like a wise choice on steel, size and handle material. :D

I'm a little bit underwhelmed to be honest, as I felt there was quite a bit of hype for this catalog, but there's still some interesting new stuff in there.

Respect is absolute must buy. I just hope it's not released in very limited quantities. The Waterway also looks like a great fixed design.

V-Toku2, PPT and Shabaria sprints will all be on my radar. A little bit confused with the choice of SS for the Kopa handle...

My biggest disappointment is that the Native Salt won't be offered in black (or any other color than yellow, for that matter) and that the linerless G10, as seen on the KC exclusive Native, doesn't appear to have made it to regular production through CQI.
The problem of a coherent civilization is the problem of living with ignorance and not being frustrated by it.

Me too! I'd love to have a Kopa but I imagined something a little fancier like the previous versions. Stainless just seems too vanilla.
